Chelsea FC’s Jorginho says ‘cold’ Londoners ‘don’t even know what the sun is’

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has joked that Londoners "don't know what the sun is" after discussing his time with Napoli.

Jorginho spent four years in Naples before following manager Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge in 2018.

The player has often been linked with a return to Serie A, and his agent Jorge Santos this week told Radio Marte: "If Napoli will make an offer, we'll evaluate it. He had a great time in Naples, and he has many friends over there."

Jorginho has done nothing to dispel reported interest in a return to the country, telling Canale21: "There are no words to describe how much I miss Naples.

"Who wouldn't miss Naples? It's so cold in London, they don't even know what the sun is."

Jorginho continues to be a regular for Chelsea, under both Frank Lampard and then Thomas Tuchel, making 28 appearances across all competitions this season.

The Brazilian-born Italian has sat out the current international break due to a knee injury.
