Chelsea FC fans must be fully vaccinated or produce negative Covid test to attend games

Chelsea fans attending games at Stamford Bridge or Kingsmeadow this season will have to prove they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or produce evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test.

The Blues are the first Premier League side to announce such measures, although Tottenham are trialling a similar system for a pre-season friendly against Arsenal next week.

Chelsea will have the measures in place for games at Stamford Bridge and also Kingsmeadow, where the women’s team play.

Supporters will need to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination (with both doses received at least 14 days prior to the match) or proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test carried out within 48 hours of the fixture kicking off. Lateral Flow Tests will have to be done by those aged 11 and over.

Proof of full vaccination should be supplied via people’s NHS Covid Pass on the NHS app, or a vaccination letter.

Supporters displaying a negative Lateral Flow result should do so on the NHS app, or via a text message or email from NHS Test and Trace. Stewards will check your Covid-19 status at point of entry.

“This is to increase the safety and comfort of our supporters, players and staff as we begin hosting capacity crowds for the first time since March last year,” Chelsea said in a statement.
