Chelsea FC Champions League draw confirmed: Who will they play in the group stages?

Chelsea’s reward for winning the Champions League last season is a group-stage draw against Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo this time around.

Group H | Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit, Malmo

The Blues lifted the European Cup last term thanks to a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in Porto, with Thomas Tuchel spearheading a stunning run after replacing Frank Lampard midway through the season.

Chelsea will fancy their chances against the best Europe has to offer once again, especially with £97.5million Romelu Lukaku leading the line.

The Blues will have to navigate two tricky ties against Italian giants Juventus in Group H though, with those games likey to shape who will finish first and second.

That is not to rule out Russians Zenit and Swedes Malmo, but the reality is that those two sides will likely be battling for the third-placed Europa League spot unless there are some serious shocks on the cards.
