Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are just a few who have clinched success in this competition and have gone to make their senior debuts at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, all bar Loftus-Cheek have been regulars this season.

Although that's because the 23-year-old is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury which has kept him out of action since May and is hopeful of returning in early 2020.

For the next generation of Blues youngsters, the hope is to follow in the footsteps of the aforementioned players.

And many used the 4-0 win over the Terriers to show their quality.

Football.london were present at Kingsmeadow and noticed that James was also in attendance to take in the action and he wasn't alone.

Three members of Lampard's coaching staff - Jody Morris, Joe Edwards and Chris Jones - were also present and would have been impressed with what they saw.

As would have Ashley Cole who returned to the club as an academy coach in the summer.

Ian Maatsen and Tino Anjorin have been involved with the first-team this season and the former helped himself to an assist.

But the star of the show was forward Armando Broja who netted a hat-trick.

Lewis Bate had the chance to add even more gloss to the scoreline in injury time but he fired his penalty against the bar as the Blues youngsters had to settle for a comfortable 4-0 victory.
