Marcos Alonso picked up his first Chelsea goal of the season on Saturday afternoon, and it was a crucial one in a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United.
The defender has a knack of picking up crucial goals for the Blues and he was able to do that once again to give Chelsea their fifth victory in a row in all competitions.
Chelsea are now into the top four of the Premier League, with Arsenal able to leapfrog them once again when they take on Sheffield United tonight [Monday] at Bramall Lane.
Alonso has now scored 16 Premier League goals for Chelsea, an impressive tally for a defender, and Willy Caballero shared a video of Alonso's excellent technique.
It was also quite an amazing feat from the Argentine goalkeeper, who hung off the crossbar and formed a small square in the top corner of the net.
However, that was no problem for Alonso, who with a free-kick curled the perfect shot through the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
With Chelsea back in the Champions League this season, there has been much less of a chance for Caballero to get any game time for the Blues.
So far the 38-year-old has only played in the Carabao Cup 7-1 win over Grimsby Town, and with Manchester United in the next round, Kepa Arrizabalaga might start the fourth round contest.
The Blues are back in Champions League action this week as they travel to Amsterdam to take on Ajax in their third Group H match.
Chelsea have three points from their first two games, while the Dutch side have a 100% record so far.
