It was an afternoon that Chelsea fans had been waiting for as they recorded their first Premier League win of the season.
A 2-0 victory over Brighton may not seem like the most emphatic victory ever, but it certainly felt like a breakthrough moment as the Blues showed their home fans what they're capable of - and recorded their first clean sheet of the season.
Jorginho's penalty opened the scoring for Frank Lampard's side, before Willian converted after an excellent run from Callum Hudson-Odoi who was making his Premier League return.
The Brazilian was clearly delighted to see Chelsea get back to winning ways at Stamford Bridge as he took to social media to share a message of congratulations to his teammates.
He posted: "Hard work finally pays off with our first home Premier League win! Well done guys, we're on the right track! Come on Blues!"
Frank Lampard also expressed his delight at the victory when speaking to the press after the game.
He said: "We've been waiting for it. The reason we had not won at home was because we had not put a together a 90 minutes at home to win a game. We have put together parts of games; half against Leicester, half against Sheffield United.
"A good performance against Liverpool but wasn't quite enough.
"Today we put in a good performance, it was solid, it was comfortable, it was professional, it lacked more goals because we created enough to score three, four, five goals.
"But we got our clean sheet which is something we've been striving for, so it's a good day all round and good for confidence in the dressing room."
