Chelsea fans will love what Jody Morris has said about Tammy Abraham after Alan Shearer comments

Chelsea assistant head coach Jody Morris has responded to Alan Shearer's advice to striker Tammy Abraham.

The Premier League record goalscorer had some words of advice for the 22-year-old, who has established himself as the firm first-choice striker at Stamford Bridge despite competition from Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud.

There was a fitness concern over the player going into the Premier League match against Leicester City on Saturday, but he was named in the starting lineup for the game at the King Power Stadium.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Antonio Rudiger scoring both of Chelsea's goals from set pieces. It was the third game in a row that Abraham failed to find the back of the net.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Shearer shared some words of wisdom with the striker.

"There was a moment when Reece James put the ball in the box and he had to be in control of that situation. He shouldn't have let Jonny Evans get there first," he said.

"He provided another good run and he needed to go across Soyuncu and not come back inside. He needed more confidence to go on his left foot.

Following the programme, Morris took to social media to respond to the advice given by Shearer and his Match of the Day collegues.

"A good thing about Tammy is that he will definitely listen to the three legends @GaryLineker @alanshearer and @IanWright0 trying to help him tonight on MOTD..can’t ask for many better to listen to in his position," he wrote on his twitter account.

Abraham has scored 15 goals in all competitions so far this season and has broken into the England national team.

With an injury doubt hanging over Harry Kane ahead of the summer's European Championships, Abraham will be looking to impress Three Lions' boss Gareth Southgate in the remaining months of the Premier League season.

The striker will have the chance to get back on the teamsheet when Chelsea take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge after the winter break.
