Chelsea have completed the signing of Timo Werner and it's already paying divideds.
Werner has moved from RB Leipzig for a fee of £47.5m and is expected to play a key role under Frank Lampard when he arrives following the completion of the Bundesliga season.
After the deal was announced by Chelsea, Werner posted a video on Twitter, with the caption: "To everyone at @ChelseaFC, I’m incredibly happy to be joining the Blues next season!
"It feels like the right step for me and I am delighted to become a part of Chelsea FC. Really looking forward to playing for such a fantastic and historic club!
"See you soon Chelsea fans!"
The German striker becomes Chelsea's second signing ahead of the summer following on from the deal to take Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and is quite the coup as champions-elect Liverpool were favoured to make the deal at one stage.
They aren't the only club feeling the impact already, as the Blues London rivals have been the target of the selling club.
While Leipzig are no doubt disappointed to be losing their top goalscorer they were also happy to wish their Werner well and maintain their humorous reputation though their social media profile.
They said: "We're sure Timo will fit in well at the Bridge, he already knows how to score against Spurs."
Chelsea have already done the double over Spurs this season but Werner bagged a penalty at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to help the German side qualify for the Champions League quarter fials.
Marina Granovskaia explained why else Chelsea supporters should be excited about the deal, and also wished RB Leipzig luck for the remainder of the campaign.
"We are very excited that Timo Werner has chosen to join Chelsea," Granovskaia told the official club website.
"He is a player who was coveted all over Europe and it is no surprise, he has that rare mix of being young and exciting and yet established and proven.
"We can’t wait to have Timo on board, but until then we wish him and RB Leipzig all the best for the rest of this season."
