Chelsea fans will love Marcos Alonso's social media plea to Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata

Few can argue that it's been a difficult start to the season for Chelsea.

Five points from four games is mediocre at best, especially for a side who will be hoping to challenge for the top four come the end of the season.

Of course with a new manager in Frank Lampard, and a number of young players looking to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge, it may take a little while longer for things to click into place.

If only there was a couple of former stars who were ready and willing to help the cause.

That's what Marcos Alonso was hoping for when he took to social media on Monday evening.

Alonso was feeling nostalgic as he shared a picture from 2017 where he was sat alongside Alvaro Morata, Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante.

Along with the picture, the full-back cheekily asked: "Can you come back guys?"

However with Morata and Hazard now enjoying life on either side of Madrid with Atletico and Real, it seems that Marcos Alonso's request seems more than unlikely to come to fruition.

Still, there's no harm in trying.
