Chelsea fans will love David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain's brilliant response to talk of bust-up

Chelsea's preparation for the Europa League final could have been a lot better with Maurizio Sarri losing his temper in training.

Sarri was seen throwing and kicking his cap in Baku the night before the Blues' 4-1 hammering of Arsenal, with the Italian initially thought to have been reacting to a coming together between David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain.

Videos of Chelsea's training showed Higuain challenging the Brazilian during practice and catching the 32-year-old, sparking a confrontation between the pair.

Higuain naturally reacted negatively as Luiz played down the incident.

Shortly after, Sarri was seen producing the aforementioned reaction, which caught the attention of the football world more than the original collision.

But Chelsea said the manager was unhappy "due to not being able to practise set-plays" during training with the session opened to media, and not reacting to the incident.

Former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen and ex-Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas also moved to explain the situation as pundits in the BT Sport studio, with both suggesting that Sarri's reaction was nothing to do with the incident between the two players.

The good news is that the incident is ancient history for the club and the players concerned. And after the fantastic hammering of Arsenal on Wednesday, Luiz shared a video of him and Higuain celebrating the Europa League final win.

Higuain explained in the video above that 'nothing happened' before he kissed the centre-back during the post-match celebrations.

It's something which could have blown up and been pointed to as one of the reasons for their downfall had they lost, but fortunately for the Blues they cruised to victory and this is now history.
