Callum Hudson-Odoi is targeting "as many trophies as possible" after signing his new Chelsea contract.
After months of speculation regarding his future amid links to Bayern Munich, the teenager has now put a rest to any talk of him leaving by putting pen-to-paper on a five-year deal.
Hudson-Odoi enjoyed a breakthrough year under ex-head coach Maurizio Sarri last season, making 22 appearances across all competitions while weighing in with five goals.
Although his season was cut short after picking up an Achilles injury against Burnley back in April which ruled him out of the Europa League final win over Arsenal.
Now closing in on a return to action, Hudson-Odoi has spoken out for the first time since signing a new contract.
"It’s an amazing feeling," Hudson-Odoi said. "It's been a long wait but it's done now and I'm really happy about that.
"I've been a Chelsea player since I was eight and this is the right club for me to be at.
"I want to lift as many trophies as possible, win as many games as possible and contribute to as many goals as I can as well. As a team, we just want to work hard to achieve the best results we can.
"I'm delighted everything has been agreed and now I'm just looking forward to properly getting back."
It's expected that Hudson-Odoi will now be integrated back into the first team fold having trained with the squad for a few weeks now.
The Blues have a busy schedule of Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup football, and Hudson-Odoi should be in contention to feature over the next fortnight.
He did come through 60 minutes of action for the Chelsea Under-23's last week and will have caught the eye of watching first-team head coach Frank Lampard.
"They will get minutes and it's important now because Callum has been training with us for a while but there are still issues that we need to make sure are OK with the injury itself, in terms of the strength and where the injury is," Lampard said.
"He'll need to get match fit, which is why these games are really beneficial for him. It will be great to see that.
"Reece James is similar, not such a long time out but he needs games for similar reasons. I'm pleased with that.
"They are two young players that are going to be big for this club going forward."
