Chelsea fans will enjoy Didier Drogba's message ahead of Champions League final with Man City

Didier Drogba has called on Chelsea's players to "rise to the occasion" as they face Manchester City in the Champions League final tonight.

The Blues take on Pep Guardiola's men in Porto in the showpiece final, with Chelsea looking to win the competition for a second time, after lifting the trophy back in 2012 when they defeated Bayern Munich.

Drogba was pivotal to the Blues' success that night, scoring the late equaliser as Chelsea took the game to extra time after Thomas Muller's 83rd minute goal had given the German side the lead.

The Ivorian striker was then the hero for Chelsea in the penalty shootout, scoring the winning goal as the Blues triumphed for the first time in Europe's top club competition.

And now, ahead of the final, Drogba has sent a message to the class of 2021 as Thomas Tuchel's men look to emulate what the Ivorian and his team-mates achieved in Munich nine years ago.

In a message via Chelsea's official Twitter account, Drogba said: "Play as if it is your last chance to play in a Champions League game. Rise to the occasion.

"Believe, believe, it is in your DNA, this is our legacy to you. Come on you Blues. Come on Chels!"

Kick off in the Estadio do Dragao is at 8pm.
