Chelsea fans spot Erling Haaland transfer hint as Marina Granovskaia is handed £48m boost

Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Sunday, March 21.

Blues fans spot Haaland hint

Some Chelsea fans believe they may have spotted a hint that the club could sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The Norway international, who has been in breathtaking form for the Bundesliga giants this term, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent months as the Blues look to increase their goalscoring output.

Although the Blues were already being linked with a move for his services prior to Thomas Tuchel's arrival towards the end of January, their interest has since soared because of the German's connections with the Bundesliga and Dortmund.

Now, some Chelsea fans believe they have spotted a possible hint that they could be winning the race for his signature ahead of the summer, after some eagle-eyed Blues fans noticed that Haaland's father - Alf-Inge - started following the club's Instagram page.

Abramovich lifts the lid on Blues ambitions

In a rare interview, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has confirmed that his two main goals at Stamford Bridge are to ensure he builds world-class teams and that the club plays a positive role in the community.

Abramovich took over the reins at Stamford Bridge almost 18 years ago and has overseen almost everything, ranging from no shortage of managerial comings and goings to a long list of trophies being won.

Now, the Russian has lifted the lid on his main ambitions as Chelsea owner.

"To create world-class teams on the pitch; and to ensure the club plays a positive role in all of its communities," Abramovich told Forbes.

"First of all, is when you say something, you have to always follow through. And, I guess, that is especially if you're a person who doesn't say much. So, what you do say is very important.

“Second, football is society. Football is part of society and society is part of football. So, it's the natural state of things for football to be in be involved, to support the community, and to be present in the community."

Dybala boost emerges

Chelsea's hopes of signing Juventus star Paulo Dybala this forthcoming summer have been handed a boost, a report by Italian media outlet Quotidiano claims.

Dybala, who has been close to moving to the Premier League in the past, could be sold by Juventus this summer in a bid to help them try and secure a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba for a second time.

Pogba left Juventus to return to United in 2016 and it is now claimed that the Italian heavyweights want him back. However, if they are to secure a move to take him back to Turin they will have to offload some of their biggest stars.

This news comes just days after reports claimed Chelsea would rival London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Dybala, with Juventus ready to sell him for £48million.
