Chelsea fans sent into frenzy after Thiago Silva's two-word message ahead of Leicester clash

Thomas Tuchel will want to get his side back to winning ways when Chelsea travel to Leicester on Saturday as Premier League football returns.

A 1-1 draw with Burnley left a sour taste as the Blues were hit on the counter-attack late on after dominating large portions of the game at Stamford Bridge.

However, a defeat for Liverpool away to West Ham allowed Chelsea to retain their position at the top of the table heading into the final international break of 2021.

Large numbers of Tuchel's squad have been returning from their travels, including the likes of Jorginho, Edouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell and Reece James, and, mercifully for the boss, they all appear injury-free.

It has not been injuries that have posed a problem for Tuchel in the previous two international breaks, however.

In fact it has been travel, to South America in particular. Thiago Silva was forced to miss the Blues visit to Brentford following the end of the last break due to quarantine restrictions.

Silva was made to stay in a hotel until the day of the match, leaving Tuchel without one of his star players. But thanks to a wealth of talent at the back, it did not hinder them, with a Chilwell screamer securing the three points in west London.

Silva was rested during the break for Brazil, which caused some minor concern among the Chelsea fan base that he may not be fit for Leicester.

However, the 37-year-old fan favourite quashed those fears with a simple two-word message on Twitter, posting "I'm back" with pictures of training, which sparked a huge reaction from supporters.
