Chelsea fans send transfer message to Marina Granovskaia after Newcastle development

Chelsea fans have taken to social media to react to the reports emerging that the club are preparing an offer for Newcastle United forward Allan Saint-Maximin in the summer of 2022.

Calciomercato have reported that Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring the French forward and both clubs have identified him as a future target.

Saint-Maximin has been at Newcastle since 2019 when he joined from Ligue 1 side Nice and has quickly cemented himself as a fans favourite as he was influential in helping Steve Bruce's side avoid relegation last campaign.

However, despite only contributing 23 goals and assists in 63 games for the Magpies, there is the external view that he has plenty of potential that is yet to be tapped into, amplified by the reported interest from some of the Premier League's top clubs.

Though, Chelsea currently boast an array of wide attacking options boasting the likes of Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. But that hasn't stopped supporters from dreaming about the possibility of adding the Frenchman to those ranks and sending a message to their transfer guru Marina Granovskaia.

However, Toon fans will be handed reassurance by the fact that the winger signed a new six-year deal on Tyneside in the autumn of 2020, meaning that the ball is firmly in the court of Mike Ashley and Newcastle when it comes responding to any offers that come in for Saint-Maximin.
