Chelsea fans send transfer message to Marina Granovskaia after Alphonso Davies Instagram post

Some Chelsea fans have been getting excited about a revolution of sorts from Bayern Minich star Alphonso Davies.

Davies has become a Bayern starter in recent years having broken into the first team in 2019, initially joining the Bundesliga giants from Vancouver Whitecaps one year earlier.

The 20-year-old, who is valued at more than £65million by Transfermarkt, is predominantly a left-back but he is also able to play as a winger.

Davies hasn't exactly been linked with a Bayern exit - he is under contract at the Allianz Arena until 2025 and impressing under Hansi Flick - but some Chelsea fans are dreaming.

Thomas Tuchel to push Timo Werner

That's because Davies has admitted to some Chelsea links in his family, telling fans on an Instagram story that his father was a Blues fan.

Davies appeared to be watching Chelsea's win over Liverpool when doing a Q&A with fans on his Instagram when he said: "(I'm) watching, as you guys know, my dad was a Chelsea fan, watching Chelsea, he would just sit down and commentate the whole game, you know."

On the back of that, Chelsea fans have been discussing the possibility of signing Davies, telling their club to make a move for the Bayern star.

Here's how some Chelsea fans have responded

In truth, Chelsea are very unlikely to make a move for Davis, having only bought left-back Ben Chilwell for £50million from Leicester City in the summer, and Thomas Tuchel has taken a liking to left wing-back Marcos Alonso since his arrival.

In terms of wingers, the Blues haven't used wide men since Tuchel's arrival, playing with five at the back, but even if they did, they do have a wealth of options between the likes of Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic.
