Chelsea fans send Sergio Reguilon message to Frank Lampard as Leicester name Ben Chilwell price

Chelsea fans have called for the club to move onto other targets amid reports that Leicester are asking for a World record fee for England left-back Ben Chilwell.

Chilwell has been on Frank Lampard’s radar for some time, having impressed on both the domestic and international stage over the last few seasons.

The full-back came through the academy system at the King Power Stadium, and has gone onto become the first-choice left-back in Gareth Southgate’s England team after establishing himself in the first team at Leicester.

Chelsea have been credited with a long-term interest in the 23-year-old, but Leicester have proved to be hard negotiators when it comes to selling players.

The Foxes received a world record fee for a defender when they sold Harry Maguire to Manchester United for around £80 million last summer.

And, according to the Mirror , Brendan Rodgers’ men are holding out for a fee in excess of that for Chilwell this time around.

The report claims that Leicester have told Chelsea that they rate Chilwell even more highly than Maguire.

Chilwell isn’t the only left-back to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge with Chelsea now said to have joined the race for Real Madrid man Sergio Reguilon.

As they found out Leicester’s asking price for Chilwell, Chelsea fans had no doubt as to the path that the Blues should take now.

Chilwell missed the end of the season with a heel injury, which could see him miss the start of next season.

The full-back is currently on holiday, where he met up with Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater. The former Leicester man posted a picture on social media along with the caption “Summer Scouting mission.”

Chilwell scored three goals and provided three assists in 27 Premier League appearances during 2019/20.
