Chelsea fans send message to Frank Lampard after Michy Batshuayi impresses against Liverpool

Michy Batshuayi did his chances of inclusion against Norwich City no harm with two well taken goals and an assist for Chelsea Under-23s at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian striker has been left out of the Blues' first two Premier League games, but started for the development squad against Liverpool on Monday night as he looked to maintain his match sharpness.

And with head coach Frank Lampard watching on in the stands, Batshuayi fired Chelsea into the lead before half-time with a well taken finish.

The 25-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Crystal Palace, collected a long ball from Antonio Rudiger, before dinking a finish past the goalkeeper.

Two minutes after the interval, Batshuayi doubled his tally after receiving a pass from Faustino Anjorin before rifling a finish into the roof of the net.

With 15 minutes to go, the Belgian returned the favour by passing to Anjorin, who cut inside the defender and finished calmly into the bottom corner.

Lampard has so far handed Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud a start each in the Premier League, but Batshuayi handed the Chelsea head coach a timely reminder of his talents.

And Blues fans are also keen to see him get more gametime.
