Chelsea fans send Marina Granovskaia message after what Antonio Rudiger did vs Leicester

Speculation surrounding Antonio Rudiger's future at Chelsea has continued to mount in recent weeks.

Rudiger's contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign and reports suggest that a host of Europe's elite sides are interested in signing the former Roma defender given his impressive form over the last 12 months.

The likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been named as potential destinations for the German international but Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has reiterated his desire to keep the tough-tackling centre-back at Stamford Bridge.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash against Leicester, Tuchel said: "We know that, of course.

"It is pretty clear what we want but it is not like this in football when the club wants something and things happen.

"You have to accept that sometimes it can arrive and you end up in situations where things are in a delay and take time but I am very sure that Toni feels also how respected and what an important role he plays in this club."

Now, Rudiger has proven why he is so highly rated by his head coach, breaking the deadlock against the Foxes as Chelsea went up 2-0 at half-time.

Blues supporters took to social media to urge transfer chief Marina Granovskaia to tie him down to a new deal immediately. Here is how a select few on Twitter reacted.

@grandeisdead: "SIGN DA TING RUDIIII."

@cfc_nk: "SIGNNNN THE CONTRACTTTTT."

@reformedashwin: "Give him the contract already."

@Manthan_78: "Better extend that contract."

@CFCEdouuu: "200k or 300k GIVE HIM A LIFETIME CONTRACT NOW."

@kellsagbons: "Another defender on the score sheet."

@CfcSheikh: "He loves playing against Leicester."

@FtbIellis: "SIGN THE CONTRACTTT."
