Chelsea fans send Jody Morris hilarious holiday message about Jadon Sancho transfer

Social media can be a fantastic tool to connect sports stars and celebrities with their fans.

Though there are obvious pitfalls and some major downsides to sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

And Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris may have run into one on Monday afternoon.

Frank Lampard praises Olivier Giroud impact

The 41-year-old sent out a rather innocuous message to his followers, asking simply: "Where is good to Ski in late May??"

And Blues fans responded nearly uniformly by telling the former Chelsea midfielder to get himself to Dortmund, with transfer links to Jadon Sancho holding strong for the summer.

Chelsea were unable to bring in players during Frank Lampard's first summer transfer window as Blues boss due to their transfer ban - though Mateo Kovacic did makes his loan move from Real Madrid permanent.

And when that ban was overturned in December, rumours ran wild about who could be making the move to Stamford Bridge.

But again Chelsea went the entire month without adding new players to the books, as Lampard attempts to bring Champions League football to West London again next season with a mix of experienced players and young stars he has integrated into the team this season.

Hakim Ziyech has already agreed to join Chelsea in the summer, and Blues fans are keen for the club to add Sancho with the young star attracting interest from across Europe.
