Chelsea fans group We Are The Shed are set to give Frank Lampard and Jody Morris an epic welcome back when they make their Stamford Bridge return.
The Blues announced yesterday that Lampard was to be the new head coach, after weeks of speculation, while he will be bringing back Morris from Derby County as his assistant.
Both players we at Chelsea for several year, with Lampard still the current record goalscorer at the club and Morris winning the FA Cup with Chelsea in 2000.
Chelsea play their first home game of the 2019/20 Premier League season on August 18 against Leicester City, and the atmosphere is expected to be electric.
And We Are The Shed are set to create a huge banner to cover the Shed End, lower and upper, to welcome back Lampard and Morris.
The fans' group had set out to raise £1500, but as of this evening they had already raised over that and towards £2000.
The statement on their Crowdfunding page, said: "We are raising money to create a display that will cover the entire Shed Upper and Lower for Frank Lampard and Jody Morris's first game in charge of Chelsea.
"We are currently working on the design but have an early estimate of a £1500 target. Should we need less than this, once we have the idea set in stone and have estimates on cost's of materials, we will lower the target.
"If we have already surpassed the target we will either try to use it to improve the display further or we will use it for future projects."
