Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was one of many heroes wearing Denmark colours on Monday night.
Having lost their first two games at Euro 2020, the Danes knew that they needed a result against Russia to stand any chance of progressing to the first knockout phase of the competition and setting up an interesting clash against Wales.
Furthermore, they needed a favour from Belgium in the other game against Finland.
In the end, there was nothing to worry about as Denmark thumped the 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists 4-1 to finish as runners-up to Roberto Martinez's side, who made light work of Finland.
And whilst there were jubilant and emotional scenes from the Denmark players, staff and supporters at the full-time whistle, there was something for Chelsea fans to be excited about too.
Andreas Christensen scored a goal of the tournament contender with a sweetly struck effort from outside the box, prompting calls for him to play as a centre-forward from now on.
With that said, someone else who was happy for the Dane was none other than his club teammate in Thiago Silva.
Well, that's going by what has emerged on social media.
As spotted by @willreyner on Twitter, Silva 'liked' a post on Instagram with a caption that reads: 'Ruben Dias when his country needed him vs Andreas Christensen when his country needed him'.
What was rather hilarious about the post was the fact that Dias was on the floor during Portugal's clash against Germany and Christensen was celebrating.
Of course, this garnered a big reaction from other Chelsea fans on Twitter...
