Chelsea fans noticed what Olivier Giroud did to Jorginho after scoring against Norwich City

Olivier Giroud was back in the starting lineup and back amongst the goals against Norwich City on Tuesday night.

After the dismal showing against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday, head coach Frank Lampard needed a response from his team.

And while Norwich, already relegated from the Premier League, battled away, they could not hold the Blues out.

Giroud made it five goals in his last six starts for the Blues with a header right on the stroke of half-time to hand Chelsea a deserved advantage.

It was the livewire Christian Pulisic who put the ball on a plate for him, whipping in a gorgeous delivery that the French striker could not miss.

Lampard wasn't pinning hopes on Man City Champions League decision

But it is what happened thereafter that got fans talking.

As Giroud wheeled away to celebrate, he was joined on the scene quickly by midfielder Jorginho. But the Frenchman was having none of it, pushing the Italian away, in order to celebrate with provider Pulisic first.

@ApexWorld_ tweeted: "Giroud pushing Jorginho away to celebrate with Pulisic."

@Kingspoint2005 said: "Did you see Giroud push Jorginho away so he could hug Christian first?"

@SoccerByIves also said: "Giroud shoving Jorginho to hug Pulisic first lol."

It was clear there were no hard feelings between Giroud and Jorginho though. When the Italian midfielder did return to shot, he had a big smile on his face, with Giroud returning the smile to hug him after he had finished celebrating with Pulisic.
