Chelsea fans noticed what Frank Lampard did when asked about Kai Havertz transfer

Frank Lampard has responded to speculation that Chelsea have made a bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz.

The Blues are reportedly among a handful of clubs who are keen on signing the Germany international after his impressive season in the Bundesliga.

Chelsea have already agreed a deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, while Hakim Ziyech is also set to arrive next month from Ajax.

And Havertz is thought to be another target with reports claiming Chelsea have made an opening bid for the teenager.

But when asked about the 21-year-old, Lampard dismissed talk that an offer had been made

"He's a top player but we're certainly not going to comment on players at other teams," said the Chelsea head coach.

"It cannot be our focus. No bids have gone in."

Despite Lampard's stance, some Chelsea supporters were quick to comment on his initial reaction when asked about Havertz by a reporter.

Lampard was seen smirking to himself before answering the question, and fans on Chelsea's Reddit page noticed his reaction.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have sealed contract extensions for Pedro and Willian, with both players agreeing short-term contracts to remain at Stamford Bridge beyond June 30.

"I'm pleased," said Lampard. "Negotiations were relatively easy because both sides wanted the same thing.

"The two players wanted to make sure they could see the season out with us. We need them in the squad, they're both important players. I'm happy."
