Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Ben Chilwell - on his Premier League debut for the Blues - Kurt Zouma and a Jorginho brace from the penalty spot ensured a winless run across all competitions didn't stretch to three games.
And while much of the praise has landed on Chilwell's shoulders, some supporters have been speaking about Edouard Mendy.
After making his first appearance for the west London outfit in the Carabao Cup penalty shoot-out loss against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, the £22m summer signing from Rennes kept his place for the visit of the Eagles.
That meant a place on the bench once again for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Judging by how the game panned out, the Spaniard may have to get used to life on the sidelines after watching Mendy keep a clean sheet on his league debut.
But some Chelsea fans have spotted something rather interesting about Mendy's bow.
It came on the same day Kepa turned 26. So Mendy effectively sent a message to his rival regarding the number one spot at Stamford Bridge.
This has prompted a big reaction on social media.
Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...
Despite Mendy's arrival, head coach Frank Lampard hasn't closed the doo
"I certainly won’t go along the point that he has played his last game for Chelsea," Lampard told reporters. "I think it has been a difficult time for Kepa. It has been well documented, I know it and he knows it.
"But we should certainly not jump to that conclusion.
