Chelsea fans have noticed how Billy Gilmour reacted to a bit of Christian Pulisic magic during Chelsea's win over Sheffield United.
The Blues progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they will face Manchester City, after defeating Premier League strugglers Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
An Oliver Norwood own goal and a goal from Hakim Ziyech was enough to see Chelsea through and continue their 15-game unbeaten run across all competitions.
One of the main talking points from the win was the performance of Christian Pulisic, who put in a man of the match display to help the Blues progress.
Pulisic has been much-discussed in recent weeks with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United linked with a transfer amid reduced game time for the winger under Thomas Tuchel.
But Tuchel has maintained the American is still part of his plans and that intense competition is simply a product of playing for a club like Chelsea.
Performances like the one against Sheffield United will help his case, and there was one particular piece of play that stood out, even if it was lacking the finishing touch.
With the score still at 1-0, Pulisic was surrounded by as many as three opponents to the side of the Blades box before pulling off a magic piece of skill, wriggling free and breaking into the box.
And Chelsea fans on Reddit noticed that youngster Gilmour reacted to that just like the rest of the Blues fans sitting at home likely did, throwing his arms in the air in disbelief before putting them on his head in disappointment after the eventual effort was missed.
Autobotstransform said on Reddit: "He created so many chances, the finishing touch needs to get better," while Hutch defended Pulisic, adding: "How do we have nobody on the edge of the box for a cutback? This happens too often I feel, players watching the attackers rather than making that Lampard run."
Speaking after the game, Pulisic discussed Chelsea's form and why he and his teammates feel they are almost unbeatable at the moment.
“We definitely have a confident bunch of guys," he said. "Obviously when we’re on a run like this, we feel really good and we feel like we can beat anyone. It’s a good feeling.”
