Chelsea fans notice David Luiz 'drop Arsenal transfer hint' on social media

David Luiz has apparently removed the word "Chelsea" from his social media bios, according to Blues supporters.

Luiz failed to train with the Chelsea first team on Wednesday and is expected to complete a deadline day move to Arsenal.

Frank Lampard doesn't consider the Brazilian to be a big part of his plans this season, and is open to letting him leave to a rival.

Luiz would set the Gunners back just £8million - considerably less than the £60million RB Leipzig slapped on the head of previous centre-back target Dayot Upamecano.

Chelsea fans have noticed that Luiz has apparently removed the Blues' name from his Twitter and Instagram bios this Wednesday.

The Brazilian's background image - on both social media channels - still shows him wearing a Chelsea shirt.

But some supporters are convinced that the removal of his name is telling.

One fan tweeted: "David Luiz has just removed everything that's got to do with Chelsea from his Twitter bio," while another added: "David Luiz removed Chelsea from his bio!? Hmm interesting."

A third wrote: "Luiz can't even wait to be announced. Man removed "Chelsea player" from his bio," and a fourth concluded: "David Luiz has removed Chelsea bio text from his twitter handle... Hmm."
