Chelsea fans' new nickname for Christian Pulisic after first Thomas Tuchel training session

Thomas Tuchel's has overseen his first training session as Chelsea head coach.

The 47-year-old has signed an 18-month contract with the Blues with the "possibility" of an extension and has expressed his excitement at becoming the new Chelsea boss.

"I would like to thank Chelsea FC for their confidence in me and my staff," he said. "We all have the greatest respect for Frank Lampard’s work and the legacy he created at Chelsea. At the same time, I cannot wait to meet my new team and compete in the most exciting league in football.

"I am grateful to now be part of the Chelsea family - it feels amazing!"

Not too long after being named as Frank Lampard's successor, the German got straight down to business at the club's training base in Cobham ahead of the Premier League clash against Wolves.

Present for Tuchel's first training session was a familiar face in Christian Pulisic.

The pair worked together at Borussia Dortmund and Tuchel was responsible for handing the USA international his debut for the Bundesliga outfit during the 2015/16 season.

And it was noticeable that Pulisic was a prominent figure in the pictures taken from the aforementioned training session.

As seen in the images the Blues winger was simply taking instructions on board, although he's been given a new nickname from some fans after what happened in training.

Being reunited with Tuchel is likely to be a boost for Pulisic having previously paid tribute to the tactician.

"I'm just very thankful for everything [Tuchel] did for me," Pulisic said back in 2017, as quoted by Bundesliga.com. "Tuchel always just trusted me and gave me a chance.

"Of course he's given me tips and feedback with what he sees every day in training and stuff like that, small things."
