Chelsea fans make Jorginho and N'Golo Kante Ballon d'Or point as Blues win Club of the Year

Chelsea duo Jorginho and N'Golo Kante were both named in the top five of the Ballon d'Or rankings for 2021.

Lionel Messi claimed his seventh award of the famous golden ball, with Robert Lewandowski, Jorginho, Karim Benzema and Kante completing the top five.

The Chelsea duo were also joined in the top 30 by their team-mates Cesar Azpilicueta (29th), Mason Mount (19th) and Romelu Lukaku (12th) after a tremendous 2021 for the Blues.

Kante played a key role for Chelsea as they secured their second-ever Champions League trophy, and also helped add the European Super League to their ever-growing trophy cabinet later in the year.

The France midfielder was also superb for his country in the Euros over the summer, while Jorginho played a massive role in Italy's triumph in the international competition.

The Italian starred for Chelsea in their European success - meaning a top-five finish for the Blues duo was more than deserved, and the club's supporters have been reacting to the result.

Meanwhile, Chelsea won FIFA's Club of the Year after a sensational 2021, with one man in particular receiving plenty of praise from supporters on social media - Thomas Tuchel.

The German coach took over from Frank Lampard in January and has completely transformed the west Londoners - leading them to European success and will be determined to win the Premier League title this season.

Here's how Chelsea fans have reacted to winning the Club of the Year award on social media.

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Wednesday when they make the short trip to Watford, just a few days before the Blues take on West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Tuchel will be desperate for his side to get back to winning ways after being held at home to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, with both Liverpool and Manchester City gaining points on Chelsea over the weekend.
