Chelsea fans loved what Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho did after Willian's penalty vs Spurs

It's often said that a picture can speak a thousand words.

That was certainly the case during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon - a result which moved the Blues six points clear of their north London rivals.

The key moment in the game came just before half-time when Marcos Alonso was taken out in the area by Paolo Gazzaniga which saw the visitors awarded a penalty.

Frank Lampard full press conference after win vs Spurs

Both Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho knew how important this moment was and as pointed out by a fan on Reddit , Mourinho was preparing to head down the tunnel as Willian steps up to take the spot-kick.

Presumably to get ready for his half-time team talk.

But as the Brazilian successfully converted the spot-kick to double Chelsea's lead, there's a moment of sheer joy and pain across the respective head coach's faces.

Understandably, Lampard turns away in delight and punches the air, while Mourinho simply bows his head and continues his walk down the tunnel as his notes had to be ripped up.

This is a moment that Chelsea fans are unlikely to forget anytime soon.

One commented by saying "On repeat. Iconic."  And another said: "Saved this post. Will serve as a great mood booster for the rest of my life."

Lampard's celebrations continued at the final whistle as he went over to the travelling supporters to take in the victory.

He even rejected claims that his actions were over the top.

"It might look like it meant a lot to me and it does mean a lot to me, but it's about what it means to this club and the players and the fans," Lampard told Sky Sports. "The fans have come here having watched us lose a few games but they've stuck with us.

"All I hear from the fans is 'we know we're young. but we want to do a certain thing and what we need to do is show them what we can do.

"It doesn't mean it's the end, it's not over-celebration it's just enjoying the moment and now we keep on working."
