Chelsea fans love what Zinedine Zidane has done to Eden Hazard for Real Madrid clash

Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid team selection for tonight's Champions League semi-final first-leg fixture has got a number of Chelsea fans talking.

The La Liga giants go into the game on the back of a goalless draw against Real Betis at the weekend - a result that saw them hand Barcelona the advantage in the title race.

However, Los Blancos are still going strong in European football's elite club competition.

After surviving a scare in the group phase, Real Madrid have swept aside Atalanta and Liverpool to once again claim a place in the final four and now Chelsea stand in their way of another final appearance.

And in an attempt to ensure his side takes a positive result back to Stamford Bridge next week, Zidane has made some big decisions.

As expected, captain Sergio Ramos misses out because of injury, but midfielder Toni Kroos is back in the side after missing Madrid's last two league games.

Defender Raphael Varane - linked with a summer transfer to Chelsea - is partnered by Eder Militao and Nacho at the heart of the Madrid defence, while Marcelo gets a start at left-wing bacck.

Leading the line is Frenchman Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid XI : Courtois; Nacho, Varane, Militao; Carvajal, Casemiro, Modric, Kroos, Marcelo; Vinicius, Benzema

Most of the reaction from Chelsea supporters on social media has centered around Eden Hazard being named on the bench against his former club.

Take a look at some of the best responses on Twitter...

@imjustrllytired said: "Hazard stay on the bench lad."

@CFCJakeM said: "Already know Hazard is gonna come off the bench and score. It's just the kind of thing that happens to Chelsea."

@goatpard said: "Hazard on the bench. Advantage Chelsea."
