Chelsea fans love what John Terry did during Aston Villa's win over Arsenal

John Terry has celebrated plenty of times for Chelsea over the years against Arsenal.

And the Chelsea legend was doing so again today as Aston Villa continued their fine start to the season with a 1-0 win over the Gunners in Saturday's early kick-off, with Ollie Watkins scoring the all-important winner just two minutes into the clash.

The result means Arsenal are now three games without a win, slipping back down to 10th in the table, a sight Chelsea fans quite like the look of given the rivalry between the two clubs.

And the result wasn't the only thing Chelsea fans enjoyed on Saturday with former defender Terry showing how much he enjoyed the early goal for Villa against the Gunners.

Terry is currently one of Dean Smith's assistants at Villa Park and after the Midlands club took the lead against Arsenal, cameras captured him going nuts on the sideline in celebration of the goal.

And while you would expect celebrations from an assistant after his team have scored, it's the comparison to his celebration against Chelsea that has fans laughing.

When Villa scored an equaliser against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in December, Terry showed little sign of celebration, producing a calm clap.

And Chelsea fans believe that perfectly sums up Terry's allegiance to his former club.

Here's what they have had to say Twitter.

Terry has been an assistant at Villa since 2018, his first coaching role, though he has recently been linked with the vacant AFC Bournemouth job after Jason Tindall was sacked.

Though a former teammate in Frank Lampard has also been linked with the role, potentially pitting the two Chelsea legends against each other as Terry looks to take his first steps into management and Lampard looks to bounce back from his Blues sacking only last month.
