Chelsea fans have a cunning theory over Frank Lampard's team selection against West Ham

Frank Lampard made some bold moves ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard has made five changes to his team to the one who drew 2-2 with Valencia on Wednesday night in the Champions League.

Pedro, Emerson, Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount have all come in, but it is the inclusion of Olivier Giroud as the main striker who has caught the eye for the Blues supporters.

Reece James starts at right-back for the Blues, and the 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best crossers that the Blues have in their team right now.

It was a surprise not to see Michy Batshuayi start, with the Belgian having been the regular back-up to the injured Tammy Abraham.

However, Blues supporters have a theory that Giroud is in the team to get on the end of James's crosses.

Giroud has only started one Premier League game so far, and that was the second game of the campaign against Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Pedro's last appearance was in the Carabao Cup against Manchester United in October.

But Chelsea fans are pretty keen to see Giroud get on the end of James crosses.
