Chelsea fans have a brilliant Jadon Sancho transfer theory after Pedro makes contract decision

Pedro has got Chelsea supporters talking after announcing he is to leave this summer.

The 32-year-old joined the Blues from Barcelona in the 2015 summer transfer window and was a regular in the side in his debut season in English football.

However, in recent seasons his game time has taken a hit and he has dropped down the pecking order under new Blues head coach Frank Lampard this term.

Jadon Sancho: From Man City youngster to England flyer via Dortmund

As a result, the Spaniard will become a free agent at the end of the 2019/20 campaign and it was unlikely that the Blues were going to offer him a new deal.

And the winger has admitted that his time will be up when the season eventually does come to an end in the summer.

"I’m terminating my contract, but right now it’s not the most important thing, nor have I stopped to think about it," Pedro told El Larguero on CADENA SER, as quoted by Sport Witness.

"From there on what has to do with my future will come, but right now it’s not the most important thing when you don’t even know when you’re going to train again."

Pedro's decision has prompted a massive response from a large section of Blues supporters on social media.

Some of which are of the opinion that Pedro making this announcement on March 25 - Jadon Sancho's birthday - is a sign that the England international is heading to Stamford Bridge this summer.

It's likely that Chelsea will face strong competition from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United in their attempts to sign Sancho when the summer transfer window opens.

But interested parties are going to have to dig really deep into their pockets to tear him away from Borussia Dortmund.

That’s according to a list of the top 50 most valuable players in the big five European leagues born in this millennium, which is based on estimated transfer values using the CIES football observatory algorithm as his estimated price-tag is €198.5million.
