Chelsea's pre-season is officially underway.
in their first game of their 2019/20 pre-season campaign. The match is also Frank Lampard's first one in charge of the club following his long awaited appointment as head coach.
The former Derby County man's return to Stamford Bridge was confirmed earlier this month, and the ex-midfielder has been working his players hard in Dublin in preparation for the new season.
The game against Bohemians would give players that were frozen out under the management of Maurizio Sarri a chance to impress their new boss and possibly stake a claim to play an important part in the Premier League during the 2019/20 season.
So, it's understandable that anticipation for the match was high. Many fans would want to see the first game under the stewardship of the club legend - even if it is a friendly.
The official Chelsea app was one way to do this, with fans paying £1.99 in order to be able to stream the game via the app to their device. However, so popular was the demand, the streaming service for the game ha been unable to cope, leaving people with a blank screen. Much to the annoyance of many paying Blues fans.
Chelsea have apologised for the inconvenience and offered an alternative way to watch the remainder of the match.
Frustrated fans have though taken to social media to show their annoyance at the situation.
