Chelsea fans could get an insight into Kai Havertz and Timo Werner link-up in Germany vs Spain

As with most things this year, the start of the Premier League season has got a different feel about it for the new campaign.

Chelsea kick-off 2020/21 with a trip to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton and Hove Albion in just under two weeks’ time.

Frank Lampard has been putting his players through their paces in pre-season as well as using the time to add to his squad.

In total five new faces have arrived at Stamford Bridge so far with Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner being joined by Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, and Thiago Silva.

What Timo Werner offers more of than Tammy Abraham

And it is likely that the Blues will make it six new arrivals before the start of the season, with Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz closing in on a move to the club after an agreement was reached with the German club.

Unlike most pre-seasons, this one has also included players jetting off to complete international duty. That means Havertz has joined up with his German teammates ahead of a probable move to Chelsea.

But, the international matches does give fans to see the midfielder in action for his country.

Germany take on Spain in the Nations League tonight (Thursday) in a match that could see Havertz and Werner come up against Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The match takes place in Germany at the Mercedes-Benz Arena with kick-off at 7:45 pm.

Fans will be able to watch the game live on Sky Sports Premier League with coverage starting at 7:40 pm.

Both Havertz and Werner could be involved in the game and should they be selected in the starting 11 together from the start, it will give Blues’ fans an insight as to what they can expect from Stamford Bridge in the upcoming season.
