Chelsea fans aren't happy with Frank Lampard's one shock omission in Chelsea squad at Man United

Christian Pulisic is going to have to wait that little bit longer to make his Premier League debut for Chelsea this season.

For the huge campaign opener at Manchester United, the 20-year-old American was left on the bench, while Mason Mount was preferred to play in his position.

Pulisic had a pretty bright pre-season, joining the squad in Japan and then netting an impressive brace against RB Salzburg in the penultimate game of the summer.

However, new head coach Frank Lampard has gone for Tammy Abraham up front, and with Pedro, Mount and Ross Barkley as the three players behind him.

It's a big call from the new boss, who is definitely walking the walk when it comes to giving youngsters a chance, with Mount and Abraham making their first team debuts in the Premier League.

N'Golo Kante is still not fully fit from the knee injury he suffered before the Europa League final back in May, while Michy Batshuayi was left out of the 18-man squad at Old Trafford.

But above you can see that Blues supporters aren't best pleased that Pulisic being omitted from the squad has not gone down too well.

However, there is a renewed sense of optimism about how Chelsea will look under Lampard.
