Chelsea fans are saying the same thing about Dominic Solanke after Bournemouth beat Leicester

Chelsea have received a boost in their hopes of playing Champions League football next season, with relegation-threatened Bournemouth beating Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium.

The Foxes were in control of the game after the first 45 minutes, thanks to a goal from Jamie Vardy putting them 1-0 ahead, and with Leicester dominating the game, it looked like the result would only go one way.

However, on the hour mark, a clearance from Kasper Schmeichel bounced off the back of Wilfred Ndidi and straight to the Bournemouth striker. The Leicester midfielder made a challenge and the referee pointed to the spot.

Junior Stanislas made no mistake from 12-yards. Things then got better for Chelsea just a minute later when former striker Dominic Solanke managed to put the ball beyond Kasper Schmeichel to give the Cherries the lead.

Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu was then shown a straight red card for a kick out in the aftermath of the goal.

Bournemouth made the 10-men of Leicester pay, getting another two goals to record an unlikely 4-1 victory over the Foxes.

Dominic Solanke scored the Cherries’ fourth goal as he put a gloss on the result.

Following the game, Chelsea fans took to social media to give their reaction, noting the influence of the former Blues’ striker.

Solanke came up through the youth team at Chelsea before moving to Anfield in 2017.

The result leaves Leicester one point behind Chelsea in third place, but with Manchester United still to play on Monday evening.

It means that the lowest Chelsea can now finish the weekend in is fourth position, despite their loss against Sheffield United.

That position would be enough to guarantee Champions League football next season.
