Chelsea supporters and head coach Frank Lampard will love what Eden Hazard has said about Christian Pulisic.
After seven successful years in west London, the Belgian international sealed his dream move to Real Madrid earlier in the summer and his exit has raised a number of questions about his former club.
Given his goal contributions from the left-wing every season, fans and pundits alike are asking who can step up to the plate and be the creative force in the 2019/2020 campaign.
It's a situation that must be solved by Lampard in only his second season in management.
Luckily for the Blues legend, Hazard is of the opinion that Pulisic - signed for £58m from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window - is capable of filling the void he created.
"He can be one of the best in the future for sure," Hazard told The Associated Press."He can be (a star).
"Now he’s at one of the best clubs in the world.
"He’s a proper player. He can play football."
With that said, Pulisic has already attempted to play down comparisons with Hazard.
"I'm not here to compare or anything," he said. "Obviously Eden was amazing and he did so well for this club, as you could see last season and the whole time he's been here.
"He was an incredible player.
"For me, it's coming in as my own player, proving myself and doing the best I can to help this team.
"Right now it's going in and helping the team whatever way I can. It's just bringing an intensity into the training first of all and earning respect in the beginning.
"Then I want to make an impact as much as I can on the pitch."
