Chelsea fans all say the same thing as Nike reveal new third kit

Chelsea's new Nike third kit has dropped and it has not gone down well.

Blues fans are unimpressed with the new strip is largely 'ember glow' red with 'ultramarine' blue stripes.

According to the club, the kit is 'inspired by the 1990s Ultramarine Nike Air Max 180 trainers and classic Chelsea shirts of the past'.

The kit is a light red (ember glow) with (ultramarine) blue stripes, said to be inspired by the 1990s Ultramarine Air Max 180 trainers and classic shirts of the past.

The new shirt has a V-neck collar with the stripes fading out as they run towards the bottom. The shoulders are blue, fading into a red arm.

When Kai Havertz could join up with the Chelsea squad

Chelsea are yet to reveal the shorts and socks but have confirmed there will be red shorts and blue socks.

The reveal completes all three of the Blues' kits for the new season, with the away kit glass blue.

The new third kit will be available to supporters on September 10, both on the online store and at the Stamford Bridge superstore.

Though, classic or not, Chelsea fans aren't exactly excited by the new kit, which resembles a Crystal Palace home shirt more than Blues kits of the past.

Here's what fans have said on Twitter.

Describing the new kit on the official website, the club wrote: "The Blues’ new design is heavily influenced by the much-loved original Air Max 180, a shoe which was first released in 1991 and also shares the inspirations of the Chelsea kits of the era.

"The colours shine through in a third kit which takes all those influences and creates a sharp, modern football kit."

The new third kit is available from September 10 on the online store, as well as the Stamford Bridge Superstore.
