Chelsea fans agree over £13.5m man as Billy Gilmour question made after latest Daniel Farke call

Chelsea supporters are asking the same question once again after Billy Gilmour was left on the bench for Norwich City's 2-1 defeat to Leeds United on Sunday.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who is valued at £13.5million on Transfermarkt, has made just four starts for the Canaries this term in the Premier League after signing on a season-long loan deal from the Blues.

The Scotland international's last start for Norwich in the top-flight was in their defeat to Watford in mid-September, and he was once again left out of the team for the newly-promoted side's 2-1 loss to Leeds on Sunday afternoon - which has left Chelsea fans asking the same question.

Gilmour is very highly-rated at Stamford Bridge and the plan to loan him out for the season will have been for the midfielder to get some more experience playing in the Premier League, but that has not been the case as of yet.

There has been speculation about the Scot possibly being recalled by Thomas Tuchel, but his current boss Daniel Farke recently insisted he was still part of his plans at Carrow Road.

“We are not here to develop players for other clubs," Daniel Farke told journalists after the Canaries' Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool a few weeks ago.

"Listen, we are absolutely happy we have him and he is absolutely happy to be here. The conversations we have with Chelsea are also positive. Billy is fully committed to be here. We are all happy."

Tuchel was recently asked about Gilmour's struggles with Norwich and the Chelsea boss sent the loanee a supportive message.

"Big clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea don’t want it easy for their players," the Blues head coach said.

"If they want to be Manchester United, Chelsea or Tottenham players one day, then they need to make sure that they face this challenge and step up to this challenge.

"For that there is no extra pressure. I am not here to please Manchester United or Chelsea, or Tottenham last season, I am just here to win points for Norwich City.

"It’s not about Billy Gilmour or Brandon Williams, or Kenny McLean or Teemu Pukki who are our players, we just like to play with the players to help us to win points.

"This is the challenge that, for example, our loan players want to have. It is not a gift that we play them because we have loaned them and they want to play many games."
