Chelsea fan spotted what Tammy Abraham did during Frank Lampard's historic 2-1 win over Lille

Chelsea's win over Lille on Tuesday night was one for the history books.

In reaching the last-16 of the Champions League, Frank Lampard has become just the second English coach to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.

The only other manager to have achieved this feat is Harry Redknapp - Lampard's uncle - when he did so with the Blues' London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of the decade (via Squawka football).

Lampard delighted with transfer embargo being lifted

On target in the history making win was Tammy Abraham and club captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Spaniard scored what turned out to be the winner at Stamford Bridge as Loic Remy's second half goal against his former club set up a tense finale.

But it was Abraham who got the balling rolling as he tapped home from close range in the 19th minute following fine work from Willian down the right-hand side.

In breaking the deadlock, the England international registered his 13th goal of the season across all competitions.

And in doing so has created a little bit of history too.

As pointed out by @ChelseaChadder on Twitter, Abraham has now become the first Chelsea youth product to score 13+ goals for the club in a single season since Clive Walker in 1982.

The 1981/82 season is one of the worst in Chelsea history and they only avoided relegation from the old second tier of English football on the final day.

One Blues fan is hoping history doesn't repeat itself.

Abraham didn't take all the credit for his goal as he revealed the role Azpilicueta played.

"For me, it was just about getting in the box," he told BT Sport. "I have this guy (Azpilicueta) always telling me, run across the goal, run across the goal, every time.

"That's what I did, thankfully I was in the right place at the right time."
