Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James have named in the England Under-21's squad.
The Chelsea duo join teammates Marc Guehi and Trevoh Chalobah - on loan at Huddersfield Town this season - in Aidy Boothroyd's squad for a friendly against Slovenia and a European Championship qualifier against Austria.
Remarkably Hudson-Odoi could earn his first cap at this level as injuries in March saw him make his senior debut after originally being selected for the Under-21's.
Meanwhile, this is James' maiden call-up at Under-21 level and is a reward for a fine return to action after recovering from the ankle injury sustained whilst on international duty for the Under-20's at the Toulon Tournament in the summer.
England U21 squad:
Goalkeepers: Brandon Austin, Ellery Balcombe, Aaron Ramsdale
Defenders: Max Aarons, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guehi, Reece James, James Justin, Lloyd Kelly, Jonathan Panzo, Steven Sessegnon
Midfielders: Todd Cantwell, Tom Davies, Phil Foden, Morgan Gibbs-White, Dwight McNeil, Oliver Skipp, Joe Willock
Forwards: Rhian Brewster, Mason Greenwood, Callum Hudson Odoi, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah
As pointed out by a Chelsea fan on Twitter, seven of the 23-man squad have spent significant parts of their development with the west London outfit.
That includes Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah, Liverpool's Rhian Brewster and Jonathan Panzo who left the Blues as recently as last summer when he made the move abroad to Monaco.
On the topic of Hudson-Odoi and James being called up, there has been a big reaction among Chelsea fans.
Some are suggesting they should be in the senior squad, others are hopeful they don't pick up any injuries and many would have preferred they stayed back at Cobham.
