Chelsea's goalless draw at home to Brighton and Hove Albion was secondary on a night where the real victors were the supporters.
Event prior to kick-off was far more important and influential as around 1,000 fans attended a protest outside of the Blues' home, urging those at the top to reconsider the decision to join the European Super League.
And less than two hours after the protest began in earnest, news broke that the club were preparing to exit the breakaway competition.
As expected, the fans scored high in the ratings.

Chelsea face threat of 'losing billions' over European Super League
However, Chelsea face the threat of losing billions of pounds over their plans to withdraw from the European Super League.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez - who had been appointed Super League chief - insisted that the 12 clubs involved have made a commitment.
"The contract of the Super League is binding. Nobody can leave, we will work all together," he told El Chringuito on Monday night.
"All the clubs signed the contracts last Saturday - there's no problem."
Furthermore, The Telegraph states that any club which pulls out without the consent of its fellow members would leave itself open to legal action, particularly if it led to the collapse of the multi-billion pound competition.
Tuchel admission
Thomas Tuchel has conceded that Chelsea were tired against Brighton after their exploits in the FA Cup semi-finals last weekend as well as the talk surrounding the Super League.
"It was not our best game, the opponents defended well and we weren’t in the same rhythm,” Tuchel told reporters. "Maybe we were tired and a bit distracted, maybe a combination and it wasn’t our best performance.
"We were perhaps lucky not to lose and we couldn’t get any big chances today and there were some mistakes in our decision making.
"We have to accept we weren’t good enough to win today.
"We were clearly tired, we have had several travels and tough matches and we suffered a bit from the strong line-up at Wembley and the guys could not find their rhythm and structure for counter-pressing and we tried to change the system which didn’t really well. We didn’t deserve to win."
