Here are the Chelsea evening headlines on Tuesday, July 21.
Chelsea prepared to offer Henderson lucrative deal
Chelsea are prepared to offer goalkeeper Dean Henderson more than double the wages he is on at Manchester United.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Blues have made contact with Henderson’s representatives, with Frank Lampard not satisfied with Kepa Arrizabalaga’s form.
Henderson has spent the season on loan at Sheffield United, and has been in impressive form for the Blades.
The English goalkeeper’s future is still uncertain, with David De Gea currently the number one shot-stopper at Old Trafford, despite his recent poor form.
How Lampard responded to latest Havertz questions
Chelsea manager Lampard is still refusing to give much away on reports linking his team with a move for Germany star Kai Havertz.
Havertz has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer from Bayer Leverkusen as Lampard looks to bolster his attacking options.
However, the Chelsea boss refused to be drawn on the rumours: “I’m not talking about Kai Havertz, he’s a player of another team.
“I’m looking at a game tomorrow that is so huge for this club. The last thing I want to do is talk about players of other teams.”
Kante ruled out of Liverpool clash
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been ruled out of the Blues’ trip to Liverpool on Wednesday evening with a hamstring problem.

The French midfielder has missed Chelsea’s last four league matches due to the injury and Lampard has ruled him out of action yet again.
There was hope at the club that Kante would be available for the trip to the Premier League champions on Wednesday, but the Chelsea boss has delivered a short, but straight to the point reply.
When asked if Kante would be available for the trip to Anfield, Lampard said: “N’Golo is not fit.”
