Chelsea pair face late tests ahead of London derby
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has delivered updates on the fitness of injured pair Christian Pulisic and Andreas Christensen ahead of Wednesday’s match against West Ham.
"Christian has felt a bit of tightness in his calf just as he came off against Leicester, so we're managing him," Lampard revealed in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
"I haven't got an answer for it yet, it feels better than it did after the game so we'll see by tomorrow.
"AC likewise a little bit is in the squad but we'll have to see with another 24 hours, because of the tight turnaround," Lampard added.
Werner explains why he chose Chelsea
Timo Werner has explained why he chose to join Chelsea this summer over the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool who also sought his signature.
"I agreed [to join Chelsea] a few weeks ago," Werner said in an interview with Sportbuzzer. "The whole thing was quite unproblematic because I had a lot of time to think about it before the coronavirus period. It’s no secret that there were several offers.
"The entire Chelsea package was the best for me, my game and my career."
Arsenal star urges Lampard to make two signings
Arsenal legend Paul Merson believes Chelsea are just two transfers away from challenging for the Premier League title.

"I think Chelsea need a left-back, and they might need another centre-half, and then they'll be a major force next season," Merson told Sky Sports.
"I don't think they'll win the Premier League next season, but the gap won't be as big.”
Lampard has earmarked Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell as a successor to Marcos Alonso, and has already added marksman Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech to the Blues squad this summer.
