Havertz in hurry to join Blues
Chelsea target Kai Havertz has told his Bayer Leverkusen bosses to get a move on and rubber stamp his move to Chelsea so that he can get training with his new teammates.
Havertz is one of Europe’s hottest properties and looks set to join Frank Lampard’s side, and according to Footballer-turned-Bundesliga-expert Jan Aage Fjortoft, the midfielder is desperate for a move to west London.
Fjortoft tweeted : "Havertz has told his Leverkusen-bosses: 'I want to play for Chelsea.
"'And please don’t take too long agreeing a fee with them, because I want to start training there as quick as possible'.
Liverpool star delivers verdict on Chelsea target
Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson was full of praise for Leicester city full-back and Chelsea transfer target Ben Chilwell , including him in his top three left-backs worldwide.
"I think Alphonso Davies, already world-class but he can only get better," Robertson told BT Sport.
“Phenomenal player, somebody I enjoy watching and I think the whole world’s enjoying watching him at the minute and I'm not different.
“Ben Chilwell I love watching in the Premier League.
“Then I would say Jordi Alba, the more experienced one of the three I would say, maybe coming near the end of his career, but what a career he’s had.”
Chelsea delivered double transfer blow
The Blues have been linked with Brighton defenders Lewis Dunk and Ben White during this summer’s transfer window.
But while Lampard can offer up Champions League football, Brighton are reluctant to depart with either, according to talkSPORT
The Seagulls want to keep Dunk – their captain – on board, while White, who spent last season impressing on loan at Leeds, is yet to show what he can do on the south coast.
Lampard may have to look elsewhere when it comes to defensive reinforcements.
