Ziyech set for Morocco duty

Chelsea’s summer signing Hakim Ziyech is set to appear for Morocco this international break before he’s even slipped on a Blues shirt.

The 27-year-old has linked up with Morocco for international duty in Rabat for friendlies against Senegal and DR Congo.

The attacking midfielder is on the verge of fitness after sitting out Chelsea’s opening four Premier League matches, but he has begun training at Cobham in recent weeks.

"Ziyech is getting closer but not close enough to be on the bench," Lampard said last Friday, although football.london was told that in a higher-stakes fixture the attacking midfielder could have been risked.
