Here are the Chelsea evening headlines for Wednesday, 10 June.
Havertz explains where his best position is
Reported Chelsea target Kai Havertz explained where his best position is, back in November of last year.
Havertz has been linked with a move to the Blues this summer, with the versatile playmaker revealing his best position to Marca last year.
“I would say the No.8 position, inside-right,” the German youngster said.
“I’m not a classic No.10, but I like to have the ball at my feet, simply enjoying myself on the pitch. I’ve played in many other positions, but I prefer to play in the centre, where I have more of the ball. My dream will always be to wear the No.10 one day at my club.”

Blues could use Havertz as smokescreen for another deal
Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, and could go head-to-head with their Premier League rivals in the summer.
However, the Express are reporting that the Blues could be using their interest in Havertz, to distract clubs from Jadon Sancho, so they could make a surprise move for him instead.
Sancho was a reported target for Frank Lampard’s side, but Havertz has been deemed as an alternative for the Borussia Dortmund winger.
But if the Express are to be believed, then Chelsea’s interest in the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder could be in place to divert United’s attention away from Sancho.
Lampard gives approval over potential signing
Chelsea boss Lampard has given his blessing for the club to sign Flamengo midfielder Gerson, according to ESPN’s journalist Jorge Nicola.
ESPN’s Brazil journalist Nicola has claimed the Chelsea boss has already given his approval over the signing of the highly-rated midfielder, but the Blues will face competition.
Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the Flamengo star, according to Gerson’s father Marcão, with Spurs reportedly offering €18m for his services.
However, Flamengo will not accept anything less than €30m for the 23-year-old, who joined the Brazilian side from AS Roma in 2019.
