UEFA set to scrap FFP

UEFA are planning to overhaul the FFP regulations with the current rules set to be scrapped and replaced with a new set of system that will give clubs greater control over their spending power.

Any new rules that come into place are likely to be ones agreed upon by the clubs and the likes of Chelsea will have more licence to spend big when it comes to transfers without having to worry about sanctions.

The new system could be in place as early as 2022 with agreements on salary caps and clubs being able to spend 'what is necessary' rather than 'spending as much as you can collect' on the UEFA agenda for a teleconference on Thursday with members of the European parliament.

Chelsea's Stars Performance Under Thomas Tuchel Graded

N'Golo Kante progress

France manager Didier Deschamps has revealed he is not worried by Kante's recent injury problems or that the midfielder has only started six out of his last 12 Chelsea appearances.

Kante could be involved in three matches in just seven days for France over the international break but Deschamps says that as he has matured and gained more experience the defensive midfielder has learnt to 'manage' his body and that he is ready for action with France and Chelsea over the coming weeks.

Deschamps praised the 'high level' that Kante is playing at and that he will not try and change the 29-year-olds all action style fo play.

Chelsea transfer targets

Chelsea have a shortlist of four central defensive targets for this summer transfer window as well as striker Erling Haaland according to a report in the Daily Express.

The articles suggests that with Fiyako Tomori set to join AC Milan on a permanent deal and with Thiago Silva entering the final stages of his career Thomas Tuchel is keen to add an experienced centre-back to his ranks.

Jose Gimenez is top of the wanted list for the Blues followed by RB Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate, David Alaba if he does not deal a move to Real Madrid or the Austrian's Bayern Munich teammate Niklas Sule.

But the key man Chelsea have earmarked is striker Haaland who the club have budgeted £103m for.
